Your Mission:
- Own end-to-end product quality across manufacturing, delivery, and launch preparation for the assigned product/ product line
- Ensure compliance with all applicable customer, internal, and regulatory requirements (EN9100, ECSS, NASA, MIL)
- Act as primary quality interface for the product line and key stakeholder for manufacturing and engineering teams
- Drive continuous improvement of product and process quality through structured prevention and Lessons Learned activities
- Ensure robust product acceptance and readiness for delivery, audits, and customer reviews
- Monitor and report product quality performance through defined KPIs to management
Main Tasks:
- Execute Product Assurance activities across manufacturing, delivery, and launch preparation phases
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation (control plans, inspection records, reports, and evidence, acceptance data package)
- Support production to ensure process stability and product conformity
- Lead non-conformance management, including containment, root cause analysis (5Why, Ishikawa), and corrective/preventive actions
- Coordinate manufacturing and production readiness reviews, including KIPs/MIPs and hardware acceptance processes
- Support product and process validation and qualification activities
- Support Design and Process FMECA activities
- Prepare and coordinate quality reviews with the customer
- Participate in internal and customer audits, ensuring compliance and traceability
- Capture and drive Lessons Learned from production and launch campaign activities
- Q-representative for Launch Campaign(s) -where required- including on-site support for several weeks at the launch site
Your Story:
- Master’s degree (MSc) or equivalent, preferably in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience in the field of Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of standards such as EN9100, ECSS, NASA and MIL
- Knowledge of space certification processes
- Experience in the application of Quality preventive methodology (5Why, Ishikawa Fishbone…)
- Ability to quickly understand and analyze complex products/systems and their function
- Ability to work autonomously and coordinate complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; any further language is a strong asset (preferred: German)
- Availability to travel to other Business Units (Sweden and Alabama US) as well as to Launch Site(s) – e.g. French Guyana
Nice to have’s:
- Languages beyond English (German and French preferred).
- Experience in other Space companies.
- Auditor Certification (e.g. ISO9001:2015 IRCA).
