You'll join a dynamic team , where your role will involve ensuring smooth logistics, efficient production, and timely delivery of our top-notch products. We are currently in an exciting transformation where we are growing a Tech Hub in Portugal. Together, we are a diverse team with different backgrounds and personalities, but we are all connected.
Your mission
Build upon his technical expertise to provide key contributions in all stages of product and project development. Involved in complex project on multiple tasks and manages mechanical analysis required for the development and qualification of launcher structures and components Conducts and Leads analysis task without supervision within his dedicated field. Conduct high complexity tasks with or without supervision:
o Define analysis approaches to investigate mechanical design problems or verify solutions.
o Establish analysis methods and create mathematical models for static and dynamic FE analysis.
o Perform static and dynamic analysis.
o Perform test predictions, test evaluations and correlations.
o Perform detailed stress and strength verification analysis.
• Supports in his engineering field during product development, production support, innovation, and project.
• Proactively communicates and aligns cross-functionally with the adjacent engineering fields and department outside engineering such as operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
• Supports processes and product continuous improvements to deliver in line with customer quality, cost, and demand. Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies, and production processes.
• Writes and reviews technical documentation (e.g. Test plan, analysis reports…), project related deliverables and other specifications related to his field of work. Adapt to the product- and mission-specific requirements.
• Utilizes project management techniques / tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Support Technical Lead in progress reporting.
• Understands and complies with internal BPM.
• Work package / Task Manager. Owns technical, budget and schedule responsibility for fulfilment of tasksassigned by projects.
• Participates in NRBs (Non-Conformance Review Board) according to the NC process. Actively propose technical solutions in his field of activity. Implement Lessons Learn.
• Supports his engineering field during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors.
• Onboarding of peer. Provide assistance in the ramping up of newcomers.
• Co-works in the bidding team for proposal, quotations, concept work and developments.
• Participates in the Recruitment Process.
• Coach intern/students, contractors, and junior engineers.
Your Story
University/ETH master’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an aerospace company (or equivalent relevant experience) in the fields of:
o FE Analysis with NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or Abaqus.
o Detailed stress analysis.
o Mechanical engineering.
• Advanced knowledge in FE analysis with the solver NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or ABAQUS to efficiently create FE models and perform analysis.
• Advanced English language skills (reading, writing and speaking).
• Experience in analysis of payload fairing and other launcher structures.
• Experience in test prediction and correlation of structures and components, static and dynamic.
• Advanced knowledge in detailed stress analysis using aerospace methods.
• Advanced knowledge in mechanical lay-out of aerospace structures and components.
• Advanced knowledge in analysis of composites and composite structures
