Your Mission

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle and SQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, 
implementing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure performance, availability, and security.  This role is critical to supporting our enterprise applications and ensuring seamless data management across multiple environments.

- Database Management and Maintenance: Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle and SQL Server databases; Perform database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery planning. Monitor database performance and implement tuning techniques.
- Database Design and Development:Design and implement database structures, including schemas, tables, and stored procedures.Collaborate with developers and application teams to create optimized database solutions.Ensure database designs align with business and technical requirements.
- Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce database security policies, including user roles and access controls.Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001). Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Troubleshooting and Support:Identify and resolve database-related issues promptly.Provide technical support to development and operational teams.Manage incidents and changes following ITIL practices.
- Upgrades and Patching:Plan and execute database version upgrades and patch management. Ensure minimal downtime during updates.
- Documentation and Training:Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.Train team members on best practices and new technologies.

 

Your Story

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server database administration; Expertise in database performance tuning, optimization, and high-availability solutions;Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN; Strong knowledge of SQL Server Always On, Replication, and SSIS/SSRS; Hands-on experience with PL/SQL and T-SQL scripting.
Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., OEM, SolarWinds).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred Certifications: Oracle Database Certified Professional (OCP); Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent.
