This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark on pioneering space projects:

Be a founding member of the SaaS (Space-as-a-Service) Journey at Beyond Gravity as you help us build its first MVP and lay foundations for our downstream applications. As the key member of our dev team, you will work across backend, frontend and cloud infrastructure/architecture to build a high-performance, real-time tracking application and ensure end-to-end performance and scalability. Over time, your work is expected to extend beyond this project as we aim to build an entire new software family.

Your Mission

• Design the foundational architecture for a new SaaS platform, including repository structure and CI/CD pipelines
• Establish scalable development workflows to support rapid iteration and team expansion
• Define onboarding processes, coding standards, and best practices for future developers
• Develop real-time data ingestion pipelines using microservices for high availability and scalability
• Translate concepts and requirements into design and implementations for distributed (critical) systems
• Collaborate with other systems engineers, setting the requirements and technical baseline for a space operation application
• Implement secure and efficient APIs for data access and (asynchronous) service communication
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, builds, and deployments
• Ensure technical excellence through active involvement in code reviews, architecture decisions, and agile practices
• Coordinate the daily operations by guiding work breakdown, estimation, and prioritization for scalable, reliable outcomes

Your Story:

Must have:

• Master’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in fullstack
• Acquired knowledge and proven experience with:
  • containerized environments (Docker, Docker Compose)
  • RESTful API design and integration
  • Relational databases (Postgres) 
•  Strong affinity with the aerospace industry
• Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization and software architecture, ideally in distributed systems
• We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, collaborative, proactive, and a systems thinker

Nice to have’s:

• Experience with React/Angular + Node.js/Python (FastAPI)/Spring Boot/Rust
• Familiarity with orbital mechanics, geospatial data and CCSDS standards and protocols
• Experience with LLM APIs or local models
• Exposure to On-Prem or air-gapped software dev
• Startup mindset in line with a constant work-in-progress environment with rapid changes and high pace
