Your Role

As Senior Manager Finance Delivery Services you will lead and scale Beyond Gravity’s Finance Delivery Services (FDS) in Portugal, delivering high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑efficient GL, AP and AR services across group entities. As a key enabler of finance transformation you will drive process standardization, and automation while fostering strong service culture, governance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

You will lead and execute the transition and migration of finance activities into the Finance Delivery Center, ensuring knowledge transfer, stabilization, and service ramp‑up. Support the expansion FDS scope and volume in line with Beyond Gravity’s growth, transformation roadmap, and geographic footprint. Acting as a service partner to Group Finance and country organizations, ensuring transparent communication, clear service expectations, and continuous improvement against agreed SLAs.

Your Mission

• Operations
  • Lead and manage the GL-Accountants and the Teams for AP, and AR, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Define and own end-to-end finance process governance for provided services, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and reporting.
  • Drive cost efficiency, productivity improvements, and scalability of finance operations through automation, standardization, and optimal sourcing models. (Cost-to-Serve).
  • Full responsibility for the Accounting of the Portuguese Legal Entity including Chartered Accounting Duties

• System & Process Optimization
  • Drive system enhancements and automation initiatives using SAP S/4HANA, workflow tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Implement standardized processes, global templates, and best practices for all provided Services across BG.

• Performance Management
  • Define, monitor, and improve KPIs, SLAs, and productivity metrics.
  • Regularly report operational performance to management and proactively address performance gaps.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through structured service delivery governance.

• Compliance, Controls & Risk Management
  • Maintain strong internal controls (ICS).
  • Prepare and support internal and external audits; ensure timely remediation of findings. Ensure compliance with local GAAP, Group GAAP, tax requirements, and corporate policies.

•  Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Act as key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, supporting escalation management and cross-department collaborations.
  •  Lead change management activities related to process harmonization, expansion (transfer of work), or system transformation.

• People Leadership
  • Drive talent development, capability building, and succession planning
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management 

Your Story:

• Chartered Accountant / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, including leadership roles in Shared Services environments, ideally involving transitions, transformations, or Shared Services scale‑ups.
• Experience in international or multi-entity environment.
• Experience in designing Shared Services governance structures and service delivery frameworks.
• Strong expertise in GL, AP, AR processes and end-to-end process ownership.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, including configuration understanding, workflow, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
