We are currently in an exciting transformation where we are growing a Tech Hub in Portugal. Together, we are a diverse team with different backgrounds and personalities, but we are all connected.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Server Expert with deep expertise in Active Directory Multi-Forest Management at an enterprise level.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the administration, configuration, and optimization of Windows Server environments,
particularly in managing complex Active Directory infrastructures, including multi-forest and multi-domain scenarios.
This individual will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and securing our IT infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance,
security, and scalability.
Your Mission
- Windows Server Administration:
o Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including the installation, configuration, and management of server roles and features.
o Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of Windows Servers across the enterprise.
o Perform routine server maintenance tasks such as patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Active Directory Management:
o Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of Active Directory (AD) environments across multiple forests and domains.
o Manage Active Directory forests, domains, trusts, replication, and schema modifications in a multi-forest configuration.
o Provide expertise in AD forest and domain migrations, consolidations, and restructuring.
o Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) across multiple domains and forests.
o Implement and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure AD, and related identity management solutions.
- Security & Compliance:
o Ensure the security of Windows Servers and Active Directory environments, including implementing and maintaining security best practices, auditing, and compliance standards.
o Manage Group Policy settings to enforce security configurations, password policies, and user access controls.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex AD-related issues, including replication failures, trust relationships, and schema updates.
o Coordinate with the security team to address vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents related to Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Performance and Optimization:
o Monitor and optimize the performance of Windows Server environments and Active Directory infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
o Identify and address performance bottlenecks, storage issues, and other system resource constraints.
- Collaboration and Support:
o Collaborate with IT teams, network administrators, and application teams to design and implement enterprise-level IT solutions.
o Provide expert-level support and guidance on Active Directory-related issues and Windows Server administration.
o Offer technical mentorship and training to junior staff and team members.
o Participate in on-call support and troubleshooting as needed.
- Project Management and Documentation:
o Lead or participate in complex IT projects, including infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and the deployment of new services and technologies.
o Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, AD setups, security settings, and operational procedures.
Your Story:
- Expert-level experience in Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and beyond).
- Deep expertise in Active Directory Multi-Forest Management at the enterprise level, including:
o AD Forests, Domains, and Trusts management.
o Replication, schema modifications, and AD migrations.
o Managing multi-domain, multi-forest scenarios.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Group Policy and GPO management.
- Proficiency in Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure AD, and cloud-based identity management solutions.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server security best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting of Windows Servers and Active Directory infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with cloud integration, hybrid cloud environments, and modern identity management solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows Server clustering and high availability technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, Nutanix).
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions for Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for service management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical issues.
