Purpose of the Job: Receiving, controlling, processing, verifying, and assessing product configuration changes.

Responsibilities:

Inputs:

  • Yearly targets
  • Assigned products
  • Business Process Management system
  • Internal and external product configuration change requests, incl. technical information, production schedule, and cost data
  • Configuration Management (CM) requirements as defined in SOW, contracts, and applicable documents of Launcher projects
  • General CM requirements stipulated in industry standards (e.g. SAE, MIL, NASA) as applicable to assigned products
  • Published documents and information related to Change Management 

 

Main Tasks:

  • Receive, control, and register product configuration change requests
  • Process product configuration change requests
  • Ensure efficient product configuration change request impact assessments, including technical quality, schedule (i.e. applicable effectivity), and related cost, by organising and coordinating Change Review Boards
  • Ensure efficient release and communication of product configuration changes by organising and coordinating Change Control Boards
  • Verify the completion of product configuration changes
  • Verify appropriate application of the product configuration change effectivities
  • Verify the quality of completed product configuration changes, w.r.t technical details, schedule (i.e. applicable effectivity), and related cost
  • Measure, monitor & report product configuration change performance (KPI)
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of policies, processes and procedures related to product configuration Change Management
  • Provide product configuration change training and awareness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (mechanical, aerospace, or similar)
  • Experience with configuration management tools 
  • Experience in configuration management or system engineering or quality assurance
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude 
  • Experience managing projects 
  • Strong analytical skills
