The warehouse operations manager will directly manage the hourly receiving/shipping workers engaged in the receiving/shipping of flight hardware, intercompany PO’s, launcher subassemblies & structures. Assign labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements. Administer daily 5S, plant rules and handle appropriate discipline.
Your Mission
- Responsible for delivery of materials from the supplier to the Production floor.
- Must meet posted incoming and outgoing shipping schedules while ensuring quality, safety, and cost standards are met.
- Establishes lean manufacturing best practices in Warehouse Operations: Visual Management, FIFO, 5S, Kanban.
- Actively manages consumables/VMI on the production floor.
- Lead cost reduction efforts associated with transportation and storage of inventory.
- Support materials management team in all inventory control efforts.
- Monitor and enforce all safety rules.
- Ensures that all processes and quality specifications are followed in the shipping/receiving of scheduled components.
- Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures that all shift employees are adequately trained in the necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently.
- Continuously strive to improve processes.
- Understand and enforce all procedures related to safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in same.
Your Story
- Bachelors Supply chain or Business administration.
- 10 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment/ 4 years in supervisory level.
- Demonstrated continuous problem solving and improvement work in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics.
