This position performs a variety of professional duties to assist the Senior Manager Accounting and Reporting in the preparation of the balance sheet, income statement and other related reports. Prepares account analyses and other reports to provide various department heads with information essential to their areas of operation. Monitor business cycle compliance to key internal controls.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with monitoring internal control compliance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Review business cycle certifications of compliance to key internal controls as documented in the company’s internal control narratives.    
• Review Capital Investment Requests (IR) for accuracy and compliance with proscribed accounting procedures and directives.    
• Monitor charges to assets under construction account for accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies and procedures.    
• Monitor status of capital jobs in progress to ensure capitalization and depreciation of assets in a timely and accurate manner.    
• Research and maintain various account reconciliations as assigned by the Senior Manager Accounting and Reporting.    
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.    
• Post and reconcile all cash transactions.      
• Create and maintain vendor master records in the SAP system.    
• Prepare and post month end closing entries as assigned by the Senior Manager Accounting and Reporting.    
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager Accounting and Reporting.
• Provide support throughout the company (including Senior Management, Operations, Managers, etc.) analyzing and interpreting financial data. Respond to inquires and provide information relative to accounting and other matters in area of responsibility.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Traits:

• Requires a minimum of a BS in Accounting.
• Must have previous accounting experience. (%+ yrs preferred)
• Must have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and an understanding of the policies and procedures employed by Beyond Gravity. 
• Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the organization.  Proficiency with the use of personal computers is beneficial.
• The employee will be working in an office environment with limited business travel.
• The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time):  Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.  The majority of the actions will be sitting.
