For this voyage we are looking for a Sr. Contracts Manager located in Decatur (AL).

This position is for a senior level individual contributor leading various complex contracting assignments and may specialize in one or more specific areas of contracting. Develop and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers. The Sr. Contracts Manager would be reporting functionally to the General Counsel in Switzerland and would be working within the network of the global Legal and Compliance Team of Beyond Gravity. Place of work would be Decatur (AL).

Job Responsibilities:
•    Review, negotiate, and administer contract agreements with customers and suppliers from the beginning until close-out 
•    Administer/oversee all aspects of assigned US contracts or purchase order processing including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements, and other commitments.
•    Add value throughout the sales process and post-signature contract management, including review and negotiation of contracts, and amendments, familiarizing delivery teams on exceptional provisions in negotiated contracts, and advising project managers with respect to contract terms.
•    Support proposal teams for contractual and legal aspects such as: analysis of solicitations; assure that bid/proposals are prepared and presented in a manner to afford the Company the greatest opportunity to obtain the contract award; minimizing associated liabilities and risk; and support independent proposal reviews (leadership and Board of Director reviews).
•    Establish and manage negotiation strategies, and financial requirements in association with the finance team, conduct negotiation of contracts requiring a high degree of negotiation expertise, execute proposals and contracts to the threshold delegated.
•    Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, and acceptable risk standards.
•    Participate in final stages of assigned contract by (1) verifying completion of all commitments, and (2) performing assigned activities associated with contract closeout.
•    Liaise with and escalate issues in a timely manner to internal stakeholders as appropriate for determination/resolution.
•    Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and assist on requests for analysis of contracts in connection with other business transactions.
•    Prepare contract summaries, and provide management with complete, current and accurate data by reporting progress on contract activity, together with recommendations for management action/decision.
•    Actively identify and drive improvements to contract risk management and contracting efficiency.
•    Train sales and delivery teams to enhance their working knowledge of contract risk management issues and mitigation paths over time. May serve as lead instructor of other contract-related training program.
•    Lead or support fact-finding and other audit activities.
•    Draft contractual responses for formal proposals/bids.
•    Maintain an in-depth knowledge and working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, the Contracts function and relevant company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, FAR/DFAR, export and other government regulations.
•    Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures.
•    Primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects including auxiliary agreements.
•    Foster and maintain sound and reliable relationships with counterparts in customer organizations as well as internally with program personnel and other Company functions.
•    Provide guidance and support to other foreign Beyond Gravity companies for US contracting
•    Work is performed with a high degree of independence and in proactive can-do-will-do manner. Exercises considerable latitude in determining approaches to assignments to ensure best possible results for the company. Proactively reports to Line Manager and Matrix Manager.
•    Undertake special assignments as required and perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years related experience.  Legal education would be beneficial.
•    Experience in working with the US Government and/or governmental agreements for the supply of large equipment with FARS/DFARS
•     Experience in drafting and negotiating complex purchase orders and supply agreements, software implementation agreements (services) and software maintenance agreements is beneficial.
•    Experience in drafting and negotiating teaming arrangements or other types of contracting arrangements, and terms and conditions (i.e. - warranties, limitation of liability, indemnity and IP licensing).
•    Internal and external customer service skills.
•    Ability to work independently on complex tasks and in an international environment.
•    Ability and willingness to meet multiple time sensitive deadlines.
•    Strong business acumen and ability to make sound judgments.
•    Develop/demonstrate good research and presentation skills.
•    Self-motivated, determined and an effective written and verbal communicator.
•    Ability to deliver results with cross-functional, international teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.    
•    Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
•    Practical UCC knowledge and contracting experience.
•    Familiar with, PIEE/WAWF, and other portals
•    Internal and external customer service skills.
•    Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
•    10% travel as necessary to support the business.


Preferred Skills:
•    National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Certification/Membership
•    International Contracting experience
