Launch Vehicle Systems Engineer, Production Support

The purpose of this job is to serve as the primary engineer responsible for the product during production.
Main Tasks:
• Maintain qualification status of the flight units during recurring production.
• Liase with engineering support functions locally and overseas to support the quality, delivery and cost objectives of products IAW with the MRP
• Organize engineering support functions to support the timely disposition of Non-Conformances
• Interface with Production Task Manager and Product Assurance Engineer to manage the overall flow of the assigned production line
• Provide engineering input to the Engineering Change Process
• Coordinate redlines to in-process design data packages
• Coordinate and oversee engineering support functions to Provide engineering expertise and input to improve design and/or manufacturing processes to increase product quality, reduce cost and reduce lead times
• Represent design engineering in continuous improvement activities
• Support hardware acceptance reviews with customer
Qualifications/Requirements:
• B.S. in Engineering
• 5+ Years of relevant industry experience
• Familiarity with manufacturing / shop floor operations
• Demonstrated experience with aerospace hardware design and analysis
• Demonstrated experience with product design management
• Experience with manufacturing non-conformance process
• Experience with product change management
• Ability to have technical communications with support engineering personnel
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritiz multiple tasks according to manufacturiung and program schedules
