Innovation System Engineer - Mechatronics Development Lithography (all genders)

Job summary

Develop high-end mechatronics systems and investigate new concepts within the lithography division located in Switzerland and Germany.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Within the project team, generate ideas and solutions that create value for our customers. The research and development team is usually composed of mechanical, analysis, design engineers and a system architect or system engineer that leads the team.
  • Create key concepts and innovative solutions, focusing on next generation of mechatronic systems to service our customers
  • Perform engineering work, this includes i) specification engineering involving the customer, identification of design drivers, ii) fast evaluation of concept(s) using mathematical models or simulation tools, iii) identification of suitable state-of-the art components/technologies, iv) defining and testing prototypes, v) provide technical engineering support (internal and at supplier)
  • Participate to customer reviews, including effective presentations of working results.
  • Establish or review technical project reports in English. E.g. technology survey, feasibility study, specifications, design justification file including trade-off, simulation model description, analysis report, test plan and test report.

 

Your profile

  • Master or PhD in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or related fields
  • Experience in technical development of high-end mechatronic products.
  • Be familiar with innovation process and tools as well as Agile practices is an asset.
  • Broad understanding, competence, and experience in mechatronics engineering for demanding applications, for example, lithography (mechatronic unit for optical systems), scientific instruments, MedTech, aerospace or vacuum applications.
