Goal of this internship will be to create a reliable process where a user can load a digital model of a product or assembly into an empty 3D space or into a given digital environment, put on a VR/AR headset, and interact with the model by either going through an assembly procedure or being capable of directly interacting with the object using the headset’s controllers.

Your role

• Creation of a reliable process where a user can load a model into an empty 3D space or a given environment
• Enable interaction with the model by means of a VR/AR headset and controllers
• Creation of Documentation and User Manual
• Support to design and manufacturing department in application of the developed process

Your profile

• University student of computer or data science and/or mechanical, mechatronics, robotics or aerospace engineering
• Experience with VR/AR headsets
• Mandatory skills: Blender (with some python experience); Unreal Engine (with some C++ experience); Unity (with some C# experience)
• Ability to give the model (and potentially environment) a realistic style (we want to get the impression that the model is actually there)
• Advanced modelling; Knowledge in CAD model conversion methods; Knowledge in python
• Good command of German and English (minimum B2). Both are used on a daily basis
