Your Responsibilities

 

  • Selection, development, qualification and optimization of materials and manufacturing processes for individual parts, components and complete assemblies. Establishing of related manufacturing work instructions.
  • Definition, planning, coordination, evaluation and documentation of development, characterization, verification and qualification tests for materials and manufacturing processes
  • Support for engineering department (design/analysis/systems engineering) in terms of material and processes selection during product development. Support of procurement, production and quality during implementation of new processes and on nonconformance treatment.
  • Proactive and independent monitoring of cost and schedule of the M&P tasks assigned
  • Writing technical terms (in German and/or English) of delivery, procurement specifications and technical guidelines or inputs thereto
  • Represent M&P during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors
  • Support continuous improvements in all concerned manufacturing processes to deliver inline with customer quality, cost, and demand requirements

 

Your Profile

 

  • Master’s degree in Material Science or Mechanical engineering and minimum 3 years’ experience in an equivalent field 
  • Fluent in German (minimum level B2) is a must criterion (to establish production documentation in German)
  • Profound knowledge of CFRP composite materials & processes, of metallic materials, surface treatments and adhesive bonding materials & processes
  • Ability and flexibility in leading technical as well as managerial tasks 
  • High commitment and initiative; systematic, diligent and independent way of working
