Test Engineer Structural Testing (all genders)

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Develops testing concepts, defines testing methods, and performs test programs in development projects, for which he/she is responsible according to the project organization and the work package description for testing tasks.
  • Takes care for the maintenance of the RS-OPTS test facilities and the related load application devices (service, calibration).
  • Plans and coordinate the use of these facilities.
  • Informs the project manager and his/her superiors about problems that could have a significant influence on costs and time schedule. The test engineer develops suggestions to solve these problems and decides together with the project team and his superiors how to continue.
  • Represents his/her area of responsibility at discussions and negotiations with customers. For critical problems the way forward is agreed with the project manager and the superior in advance.
  • Prepares technical descriptions, test procedures, test reports, time schedules and cost estimations in his/her area of responsibility according to the specific project descriptions.
  • Performs tasks that are due to a specific situation have to be performed on short notice. The tasks and the necessary degree of performance are defined by the direct superior.

 

Your Profil:

 

  • Degree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or equivalent)
  • Experience with physical test and measurement technologies
  • Extended computer skills regarding MS Office text and data processing systems
  • Completed vocational training in a technical area (mechanical, electrical, or equivalent)
  • Experience in the area of testing specifically in the aerospace or automotive sector (is an asset)
  • Experience in the operation of electronic data acquisition systems (is an asset)
  • Licenses to operate crane, man lifter and/or forklift (is an asset)
