Your crew:

Join our multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers, where you’ll help in the industrialization and support of serial production of launch vehicle structures in Emmen (LU).  You’ll work in a multicultural environment, closely collaborating with development engineering and our operations organization, engaging with a broad range of technologies. Your mission:

  • Leads the Discipline of Total Productive Maintenance for the Swiss Structure operations
  • Establish a robust and standardized TPM program for the Emmen facilities, with a view to revise current processes and standard operating procedures as needed
  • Plan, execute and deliver on scope, time and budget for all maintenance-related activities
  • Ensure the plant jigs and tool, machinery and equipment are in a safe operating condition by completing planned, preventative and corrective maintenance requirements. Create and maintain a safe and compliant working environment through adherence to all internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain the equipment in optimal production condition through adherence to the established TPM Program
  • Effectively and economically manage external resources to maintain the equipment operations in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Review production effectiveness continuously to identify opportunities for improvement and work with the Operations team to identify prevention actions that drive long term sustainment action plans
  • Oversee plant and station/equipment reliability for industrial optimization with a view to continuously reduce cost through improved equipment operation, maintenance, and upgrades
  • Manage and organize the critical equipment spare parts inventory and budget using lean manufacturing principles. Work to establish the optimal part quantities and re-order points to mitigate machine downtime
  • Continuously develop and improve the plant's maintenance planning system so that it is an effective tool that helps reduce unplanned downtime and cost, whilst increasing machine productivity and maximizing throughput
  • Leads according to the BG Space’s Values and Code of Conduct, and drives the people, knowledge and leadership development

 

Most important output and KPIs:

  • Establish comprehensive TPM program roadmap, showing short-/mid- and long-term goals and activities
  • Strategically align within BGL the BPM TPM Process and maintain as necessary
  • Establish an BGLC Emmen TPM Budget and maintain year on year

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
  • Min 3 years of company relevant experience.
  • Demonstrates insight into quality and safety standards including AS9100 and OSHA or similar
  • Previously worked with tooling for processing  composite, metallic, and non-metallic materials
  • Experience with automation and machining

            Nice to have’s:

  • Space or Aerospace experience
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge/experience; experience with SAP or other ERP, MS Office
  • Experience with MES, CAD and other relevant complex software
  • Industrie 4.0/5.0 knowledge
