Your Mission:
In this role, you will shape BGs transition from a highly specialized, one-off electronics manufacturing supplier towards an industrialized footprint. You manage and drive internal projects to standardize and scale our manufacturing & test capabilities towards the growing demand of delivering our products at a higher pace and to lower cost. The role works together closely with the manufacturing engineering, production and testing managers in the team and drives new product introduction, MAIT readiness as well as capacity ramp-up towards programme needs. This includes defining and implementing business cases for invests, leading internal CAPEX and industrialization projects as well as being a crucial player in transformation and digitalization initiatives. A strong focus will also be up-stream supply chain integration, especially in make-or-buy and outsourcing activities.
Industrialization & Product Introduction
- Establish and execute industrialization projects to get our new products ready for market, including feasibility assessments, design-to manufacturing & -test, as well as the execution of technology roadmaps
- Lead operational production ramp-up for new product introductions, from production readiness to full pace production, leveraging APQP methods
- Lead value stream mapping, anticipate & mitigate bottle-necks, and optimize the flow of material and hardware to meet capacity in a high-mix, low volume environment
- Execute internal Capex Projects: Lead and implement Business Cases for invests, quantifying the impact on lead-time, cycle times and unit costs.
Operational Excellence
- Support transformation initiatives such as digitalization together with the respective line- and program management, ensure that data-driven tools are implemented across the organization
- Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction of our standard products, optimizing unit product cost, first pass yields and value added to the customer needs
Upstream Supply Chain
- In close cooperation with our strategic procurement, be central in building a robust, scalable upstream supply chain, especially for outsourcing partnerships: lead these activities from an operations perspective from make-or-buy, to supplier screening & selection, capability assessment to process transfer and supplier management in series production
Strategic Leadership
- Support the marketing & sales organization in proposal work with recurring cost estimates, risk assessment, and programme execution planning, specifically for product launches and to serve agile New-Space markets
- Take responsibility towards upper management throughout the organization, to represent the industrialization possibilities and long-term view on product development as well as continued cost improvement
- Interact with customers, specifically in production readiness reviews and industrialization programmes
- Engage experts across different functions in a forward looking way

Your Story:
Must’s
- Industrial experience in a project-based industry of low-volume, high-mix production
- Strong applied knowledge in LEAN principles and APQP
- Experience in establishing strategic partnerships in the supply chain
- Strong background in operational project management and cross-functional leadership
- General technical understanding or background, ideally in the electronics domain
Nice to have’s:
- Familiarity with space-grade manufacturing processes, materials, and standards, ideally for electronics manufacturing (IPC, ESCSS and MIL standards)
- Data-driven system thinker with the ability to analyse and understand complex issues and focus on the right level of detail

We have a competitive salary and benefits
We are required to state a minimum gross salary for this position in accordance with the collective agreement: this amounts to EUR 4.650,- per month. The actual compensation is based on your qualifications and experience and will exceed the collective agreement minimum.
