Join our dynamic engineering team of app. 40 developing products for thermal and mechanical space components in Vienna. We are a group of people with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, such as Design-, Systems- and Analysis-Engineers. You will collaborate in a cross-functional team, supporting international clients and utilizing a wide range of cutting-edge tools. Your mission

 

As a Senior Analysis Engineer for mechanical space components, you are the analysis lead in complex development projects and act as a technical expert. You will:

 

  • Perform detailed dynamic (sine and random) analyses of complex mechanisms with focus on dynamic architecture, lightweight design and cost effective design solutions
  • Perform detailed stress analysis of aerospace structures and components using both classical hand calculations and advanced finite element methods (FEM)
  • Identify failure scenarios and collaborate with design engineers to review and optimize structural designs  
  • Basic knowledge of fracture and crack growth analyses of mechanical components would be beneficial
  • Analyze and provide possible solutions to manufacturing non-conformities
  • Defines testing criteria and prepares test requirements, supports testing activities and evaluates test results and performs correlations of corresponding models to verify sizing assumptions and qualify hardware
  • Prepare comprehensive stress analysis reports and documentation for internal/external use
  • Improve our standards and toolchain for structural verification
  • Be familiar with classical design standards and have experience in the use of CAD software
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team 
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability growth

 

Your story

 

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, thermal, mechatronics, structural or similar engineering fields
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in aerospace industry 
  • Profound knowledge in classical hand-calculations and advanced FE Modelling of aerospace structures (Simcenter NX preferred)
  • High degree of independence and confidence in assessing and trading design risks
  • Strong engineering intuition with regards to load paths and failure mechanisms
  • Multiple years of experience using CAD 
  • Fluency in English, German nice to have

minimum salary for the position: EUR 4689,25 - The actual compensation is based on your qualifications and experience.
