Your mission

 

As a Senior Systems Engineer for spacecraft mechnisms, you are the technical lead in complex development projects and act as a technical expert. You will:

  • Guide interdisciplinary engineering teams and define robust, cost‑efficient technical solutions
  • Manage requirements, system architecture, design verification, and acceptance testing
  • Create and maintain key technical documents (e.g. DDVP, ICD, VCD, design descriptions, manuals)
  • Collaborate closely with customers and suppliers on all technical topics
  • Identify and manage technical risks and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Support bidding activities with concepts, estimates, and technical inputs
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability growth

 

Your story

 

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, thermal, mechatronics, structural or similar engineering fields
  • 9+ years of experience in a similar role in aerospace industry 
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Knowledge of space industry standards and system engineering processes as well as confident handling of CAD/analysis tool
  • Fluency in English

We are required to state a minimum gross salary for this position in accordance with the collective agreement: this amounts to EUR 4.763,- per month. The actual compensation is based on your qualifications and experience and will exceed the collective agreement minimum.
