Your Crew
You’ll be part of our 5-person Innovation team based in our brand-new Zurich office. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and developing design solutions for Launcher Subsystems in R&D projects, all while exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies and creating value for our customers. This diverse team comprises highly skilled engineers from various backgrounds and nationalities, each bringing their unique perspective to the table. Your Mission
- Develop innovative technical solutions and generates ideas, concepts and methods to generate value and solve theoretical and practical issues.
- Propose and follows through market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies and production processes.
- Be the technical and programmatic authority within the R&D project.
- Plan R&D projects and manage scope, schedule, budget and risk.
- Support the creation of detailed R&D roadmaps, including business cases.
- Define development logics and experimental approaches.
- Interface with customer and suppliers on technical and programmatic topics.
- Aling with the adjacent Engineering teams for best practice and synergies .
Your Story
- Education in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, minimum M.Sc. level
- Experience with space engineering, subsystems design and development
- Technical understanding of the space market and technologies for Launch Vehicles
- Technical understanding and experience with composite materials products
- Application of AI tools to engineering problems (AI, ML, programming languages…)
- Experience in process and product digitalization (digital twin, augmented reality, sensors, …)
- Fluent in English. German is a plus.
Nice to have’s:
- Familiarity with Project Management techniques
- Proven expertise and track record with innovation tools and methods in industrial applications
- Engineering knowhow from adjacent industries (Aeronautics, Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, …)
